Welcome to Practical Inspiration for April 2010!
After the coldest winter in 30 years, here in the UK, it’s great to be finally waking up to some sunshine. Looking round my garden at the mini weed-fest that’s breaking out, it’s like Mother Nature is giving a big yawn and a stretch, getting ready for a belated fresh start.
Technically we’ve seen the start of British Summer Time (last weekend), but it feels like winter is just drawing to a close.

We’re talking about why it’s good to get laughing, the benefits of a TV diet, how to manage the Monday Morning Blues and even 10 reasons why meditation is too boring to bother with!

Beyond Alchemy Meditation Club
You wouldn’t drive a car without taking lessons.
You wouldn’t expect to become a musician without practice.
You wouldn’t expect to pass exams without studying and self-discipline.
So why do we think meditation should be any different?
Most of us have now heard about the benefits of meditation – it can reduce stress levels, improve your health and help you feel happier. Yet we quickly become disillusioned, when we sit down to meditate and nothing happens.
In fact, that’s not quite true.
We sit down, shut up and that’s when it all starts. Knees hurt, your back aches, your mind goes crazy.
That’s when most of us give up.
The fact is that the best way to learn how to meditate is to do just that – learn how.
Good meditation is about learning the techniques to help you quieten your body and mind, to allow you to focus and reach a place of inner peace – and eventually even bliss! Though that’s quite a journey. Luckily a good teacher can help you find short cuts.
Books and CDs are helpful, to a certain extent. But they have their limitations – they’re not interactive and can’t give you feedback or encouragement, when you most need it.
The ideal way to learn to meditate is in a face-to-face group. But it can be hard to find a good teacher nearby.
That’s why we’re offering the Beyond Alchemy Meditation Club. Run by experienced, formally trained meditation teachers, it’s the ideal place to get hold of your “virtual meditation course”!
- Each month, you’ll get a live meditation or deep relaxation download, to listen to whenever you want, as often as you want.
. - You’ll also get access to regular expert guides on aspects of meditation from how to sit comfortably, to how to meditate while you’re munching lunch, to how to squeeze meditation in to an already over-full schedule and how to break through common meditating blocks – and beyond!
. - You’ll also get exclusive membership of our Meditation Club Group, as part of The Transformation Club Gold Membership, where you can share your experiences with other meditation students. It’s moderated by formally trained, experienced meditation teachers, so you can get support for your journey and answers to your questions!
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a more seasoned meditator, looking for fresh ideas, there will be inspiration and support for you in the online group.
