Directions To Rockbourne

If you’re coming to one of our courses in Rockbourne, Hampshire, UK, here are directions to the village and some tips for accommodation.

You can reach Rockbourne in less than 20 minutes from Salisbury, which has good links to London Waterloo by train.
It is just 10 minutes from Fordingbridge, 20 minutes from Ringwood, 30 minutes from Bournemouth and 40 minutes from Southampton.

If you want travel directions, you could try Google’s map service.

Directions By Car
From Salisbury:
Take the A254 towards Blandford.
After Coombe Bissett, go up the hill for a mile or so, then turn left (sign-posted towards Rockbourne Roman Villa).
Rockbourne is about 3 miles down this road.

From the M27 (M3, Southampton, etc)
Leave the M27 at Junction 1 (sign-posted Cadnam).
Take the 4th exit on the roundabout, towards Fordingbridge.
At the Bell Inn, fork left – still sign-posted Fordingbridge.
Keep following signs for Fordingbridge as you drive through the New Forest for about 10 miles.

Once in Fordingbridge, turn LEFT at the first mini roundabout (sign-posted Sandleheath), follow the road round to the right, through the town.
Go STRAIGHT OVER the next mini roundabout (still towards Sandleheath).
After about 2 miles, turn RIGHT towards ROCKBOURNE.
Follow this road for about 2 miles, into the village.

Accommodation
If you need to stay overnight in the Rockbourne area, there are hotels in Fordingbridge or Ringwood, as well as Salisbury.
