Trailwalker Update From Karen & Jimi

Hi everyone,
Yesterday (2nd May) we all went for walks to train for this July’s Trailwalker.

Clare & Peter did a walk around the Salisbury area.

Karen and Jimi did a trek along the Trailwalker course.

Here’s a whistle-stop tour of their day.

It rained.
It rained some more.
We kept walking.
It kept raining.
To be honest, if you can manage 28.3km in 6 hours, in the rain, that’s really good going!

Here’s the photographic evidence:

Check point 8. By jack the windmill. 6 km in and still raining!

Check point 9. After the never ending stage! 14km! Still bloody raining. Feet and arms now wet.

25 km in. It's stopped raining! Wonderful! Only 5 more k to the race course!

So tired when we got to the race course that we forgot to take a piccie at the end :) 28.3 km in 6 hours- sleep time.
