Hi Clare
I followed your tweets through the trailwalker live blog. I really feel your pain, this was my 5th and final Trailwalker and have finished 4. What the experiences have taught me is that finishing an
event like this is a lottery. You can be as fit and mentally prepared as you like, but if you get a problem (blisters, tendonitis, pulled ligaments), that usually means you are out. To have attempted it is a success, there is no such thing as failure when the journey is as arduous as that one. You have my full respect for taking on the challenge.
You have a great way with words and you put into writing a lot of how I feel about taking a challenge such as this. I wish you well with further exploits, although I warn you now the temptation to do trailwalker again will be very high. :)
All the best

Darling Clare - what an amazing accomplishment! Truly! I am so proud of you, and your physical and emotional courage. The "path" you ended up walking sounds like exactly the right path to me. What an inspiration...
